Xan's Axe Schematics...

Updated December 23, 2005

DISCLAIMER: Only YOU are responsible if you screw something up, if these schematics cause you to burn your house down, then ya shoulda used common sense.   I am only responsible for what I do, not what others do with my ideas, you took my ideas, you used them, they were free, so anyone trying ta sue me will most likely find themselves being hammered on their heads by a judge's gavel for wasting court time.   If you deface a vintage instrument and lose money, it was YOU that decided ta be an idiot and screw with it inna first place, so don't put the blame on anybody but yourself.   If you find an error in my schematics, fine, take the time to tell me in detail my error, and I'll correct it, don't sue me because of it, okay?   Again, ONLY YOU are responsible for your own actions, not me.

Here is a collection of wiring diagrams for guitar/bass that I've done over the years.
Please send me feedback either positive or negative on your experiences, should you try these.

I've had many ragging me to put this page up, as they can't seem to navigate a directory, so updates here will be a bit slow.

I'll add more schematics here as I create them, not just for guitar and bass, maybe a few effect boxes and such, feedback wanted, enjoy, and take all safety precautions.
Standard Schemats (opens in new window)
Here is a pair of standard schemats for guitar or bass with one or two pickups.   You have James H. to thank for getting me to post these here :)

Mojo's sweet Les Paul copy that has NO identification marks on it at all!   (Lucky mofo)   Anyways, here's the schematic after we gave it an overhaul, woulda been nice to take documentation shots, tho this was Quite a while ago.
Skunk (opens in new window)
This is Mojo's Tele, original pickups, just a new rewire.
Honey (opens in new window)
Mojo's BEAUTIFUL semi-hollowbody is fantastic, after some major work done by a pro, the wiring was done by me.
Thumper (opens in new window)
Mojo's awesome Aspen Rick copy, this thing was wired so messy before I got it, that I was able to do some very tricky stuff with it :)
Mojo (opens in new window)
THIS IS NOT REAL, yet.   I asked Mojo to come up with his OWN idea for wiring, and took his text and came up with This.   Gimme feedback if ya try this!
Xan's Studio Axe (opens in new window)
And last, here's my twisted, sick, anal, evil mind at work, to give every possible sound out of a pair of 4-wire humbuckers.   Gimme feedback if ya try this!
All of these schemats are done with 16-color gif format, and if you have your printer setup properly, they should come out to a SINGLE PAGE. ALSO, if your printer is not color, these will still print out nicely. If your printer makes a paper-wasting sheet, then your printer is improperly set up. Remove the windows headers/footers in your printer setup. If it becomes neccessary to have more than one page, then the filenames will be obvious. Most of the pictures will have commentary. I'll soon come up with a text list of parts and where to get them.
